New year, new opportunities

Time for another year of service projects, making friends, and surviving classes! We’re kicking off the new school year by making sure there’s a wide range of opportunities available for members and prospectives alike. We’ll be working on bringing back projects such as animal shelter volunteering, Lyric Theater concession stand, Project Linus (a favorite of some of the members last year), Habitat for Humanity, homework help, Special Olympics, and more.

In addition, we’re going to try ramping up more club events that don’t have to do with service. We’re planning on social events such as football tailgates, hiking trips to the Cascades, board game nights, and maybe even bring back sloppy joe night (which seemed to be pretty popular last year).

And, of course, the Main Street late-night ‘drunk bake sale.’ Hope you’re ready!

Why should you join VTCKI?

If you’re considering joining Circle K (or are curious about joining), think of it this way. Your high school probably had a Key Club. They did volunteer projects around their communities. Circle K International is essentially the college arm of the Kiwanis International family of clubs, which includes Key Club (the high school arm of Kiwanis).
